Crowdsourced Song Of The Day 10/22/2012: Tim Curry - "Anything Can Happen On Halloween"

Today's CSOTD comes to us courtesy of Joseph Kinyon, who I'm afraid is trying to enact a hostile takeover of this blog. This is from a 1986 TV movie called The Worst Witch. It has a surprisingly robust 6.6 rating on IMDb, which only leads credence to my theory that the Internet is secretly run by people who have never watched TV or heard music.

Here's an interesting clip from the film, in which you can see every penny of the FX budget in glorious, splotchy detail. Curry's character in this film was called "The Grand Wizard." It sounds like a promotion from Dr. Frank-N-Furter, but trust me, a temp could pull this off. This song -- which incidentally launches a week or so of Halloween-themed programming just to prove to myself I can do it -- professes that what happens on Halloween can be a bit of a crapshoot. Humans can transmogrify into animals, people could be looking for stray percussion instruments they've actually had in their coat the whole time, and at any given moment we could break into Cole Porter tunes. We'll get more threatening and doom-addled as the week goes on, I promise. Or maybe this will creep you out for entirely different reasons.

Thanks, Joe?
