Song Of The Day 11/27/2012: Delia Derbyshire - "Love Without Sound"

Delia Derbyshire (1937-2001) was a British electronic music artist who labored for the BBC's Radiophonic Workshop, which by name alone sounds like one of the greatest workplaces one could stumble into. Derbyshire lent a big hand in shaping the theme song to the original Dr. Who series. She was an insanely studious talent who spilled out landscapes at least twenty years ahead of her time. This is a seductive, very sinewy track with random hauntings and fullness. I'm about to let a robot relieve my trousers of duty.
