Mixtape: Mistral/Sirocco

Almost four years into this mixtape thing, I'm finding that the mixes I most love doing are the ones from foreign lands. I'm sure there's a frustrated-traveler aspect to it, but whatever the case such mixes are triple-fun for me. This spur-of-the-moment decision focuses on pop music from countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea: France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, and I think Morocco. There's also one from Portugal, which technically is on the other side of the Strait of Gibraltar from the Mediterranean, but we'll just call them part of the exchange program. It's more or less in chronological order ('60s thru 'early 80s), and also gleefully mindless of the distance between the sacred and profane. This one's a kick and a half, no joke. Enjoy.
